We took the opportunity of doing the castle rock hike in the Porongorups while down in Albany in order to make sure that we rounded off our trip with a bit of stunning scenery and exercise and the trip did not disappoint. Tim (our guide) was congenial, knowledgeable and helpful in taking us to the base of the hike, shepherding us through the hike and of course, ensuring we got the obligatory "top-of-the-world" shots. The weather played along nicely, and that coupled with Tim's knowledge of the local area made the trip an excellent end to our down-south adventure. The subsequent Plowman's lunch at the winery was welcome and for once deserved.
